I have been receiving free digital Wall Street Journal for the past few years. I first bought a print and digital combo 1 yr subscription in January of 2017. The package is call the Ultimate Package. I paid $221.94 for it. I noticed that I could suspend my print edition of WSJ. When the print edition is suspended, the digital edition is still free. This “loophole” has allowed me to receive the digital copy which is really all I want. I only occasional read the WSJ articles which show up on Google News. Recently WSJ website now allows me to schedule my suspensions. The max is 60 days then you must have 1 day of print service. So I have my suspensions schedule out for the entire year.
Below is screenshot of my WSJ console where I have setup my suspensions for all of 2019. Feel free to try on other publication and comment if it works or email me at allister@allister.us and I can update the blog posting.
